Pepe has dedicated his whole life to equestrian sports. His career began in Cuba where he competed in show jumping as well as three-day eventing. He quickly moved up the ranks to become Chief d'equipe of the national team taking them all the way to the PanAmerican games in June of 1979. Shortly after that he left Cuba and made his home in Miami. In 1989 he founded the Miami Equestrian Center, which was origianlly located in horse country. A Year later he opened a secondary location Southwinds Equestrian Center; which till today is where most of Miami's equestrians got their start. Through out the years Pepe has insisted on preserving the elegance and intergrity of the sport by sharing with his students his passion, knowledge, and unwaivering sense of disipline. His kindness, generosity and dedication to success are the qualities that make him the driving force behind what Miami Equestrain Center has become, and an inspiration for what will come.
Head Trainer/ Manager
Michele grew up riding, competing and learning about horsemanship both in the U.S Argentina. At the age of 14 Pepe took her under his wing. Today, with more than 20 years of experience, riding and teaching, she has developed proven methods of training riders an horses alike. She customizes programs that are tailored to each individual, and works thoroughly with her students and their equine partners to help them accomplish their goals.
As the Head Coach of Miami Equestrian Center's Show Team, she maintains a challenging yet fun environment where students thrive, push their limits, and continuously strive for the thrill of taking that next step. For Michele, coaching is not simply serving as a guide through journey that is the devleopment of both horse and rider, but the privillage of participating in the what is the greatest passion a person can have.
“Riding a horse is not a gentle hobby, to be picked up and laid down like a game of solitaire. It is a grand passion. It seizes a person whole and once it has done so, he/she will have to accept that his life will be radically changed.”
